Koivussa lymysi muhkura, lammikossa lentokone ja takana kaduntäysi pimeää 2013
I had an exhibition with two other artists, Kati Lehtonen and Aki Turunen in August 2013 in the gallery Forum Box. The last part of the exhibition name `and a street full of darkness` refered to my installation, wich I built to the dark room. It depicts a section through a street at night, lit by a lampost, with glinting asphalt. Asphalt is like the skin of the city, lifted up on the scaffolding so that the lumpy underside can be seen. The material is black plastic foam, and on the foam, I painted the shadows of the people walking by and glued glittering folio. The sound of the work was played from two loundspeakers and were the sounds of people coming and moving away. The work playes with the idea of the heavy asphalt and the immateriality of the light.
