Performanssi Korpeista/Performance about ravens 2019

I had my own performance in Oksasenkatu 11 Gallery’s and La Bas’ “The Evening of the Genius and the Night of the Normal” in October 2019. During the performance describe my relationship with the raven. The languages I use are Finnish and Raven. In front of a music stand made of twigs I tell the audience about my encounters with ravens: in Iceland, in a zoo and at the summer cottage. I have paper and a chalk in my hand. I also have a human sized wooden peak. After the Finnish language part I change to Raven. I try to simulate a raven’s voice. Ravens don’t sing, their speaking is nuanced and deliberate. I have listened to them in the zoo and made out 11 different ‘words’. I am trying to relate to them by empathising with them.
